Today, we are proud to announce that we are launching a new feature to the Sinch product family:
With this new feature, Sinch now takes care of sending Push Notifications directly from the SDK and does not require partners to implement their own Push backend & proxies. This can be used in app to app calling and instant messaging starting today, and will be rolled out to our other products later this year.
As many of our partners already know, dealing with Push Notifications often proves to be complex and time-consuming. By integrating a backend-free solution as part of our products, we are once again lowering the barrier to have communication features running seamlessly in the foreground and background. You’ll no longer have to handle the sending of notifications.
This new feature is now part of the new iOS and Android SDK released today (and available on our download page). We’ve also included new sample apps to show you how the feature works, as well as a new section in the Portal for managing Push certificates, and updated documentation.
We hope you enjoy using this new feature and welcome any feedback or questions you may have. Just email us at email@example.com.
