Symsoft Launch New Whitepaper – How Consolidated Policy & Charging Control Can Provide A Competitive Edge

News Article

Symsoft AB, the operator division of CLX Communications AB (Publ) – XSTO:CLX, today launched a new whitepaper that explores how a consolidated real-time Policy and Charging Control (PCC) approach can enable and accelerate a telecom Operator’s shift towards becoming a digital service provider. This change can provide competitive advantages from improvements in Quality of Service (QoS), cost efficiencies, improved work flow and increased customer satisfaction. Victor Fernández, Product Manager at Symsoft and author of the paper explains, ‘MNOs and MVNOs need to be aware of how digital transformation will impact them, how this can be used to stay ahead of the competition, and help provide new products for an increasingly demanding subscriber base’. Fernández continues, ‘A consolidated Policy and Charging approach has the potential to make this digital transformation easier for the Operators’. The white paper proposes a combined approach to the Policy and Charging function, giving more control over services to the subscriber. PCC combines multiple functions into one integrated unit, offering Operators the ability to reduce operational work, create a faster time to market, eliminate points of failure and increase automation. ‘The use cases in the white paper help identify how a consolidated PCC approach can result in an improved user experience, whilst allowing Operators to embrace digital transformation with minimal risk.’ Fernández concludes. The whitepaper is available as a free download from here.
