Sinch and Wavy Join Forces with Final Closing of Transaction to Accelerate Innovation and Drive Growth in Latin America

Sinch AB (publ), a global leader in cloud communications for mobile customer engagement, today announced that it has joined forces with Wavy to advance innovation globally and to build upon a leading position in mobile messaging in Latin America.

First announced in March 2020, the closing of the transaction follows the approval of regulators and brings together Wavy and the former TWW, one of the largest mobile messaging providers for businesses in Brazil, which was acquired by Sinch in late 2019.

The combined company serves more than 3,000 businesses, both large and small, including many of Brazil’s leading enterprises in the banking, retail and education sectors.

Wavy was previously part of Movile Group, one of Latin America’s leading investors and growth accelerators for technology companies, and has established itself as a leading business messaging provider in the region. The company has successfully leveraged its strong position in text messaging to build a business driven by innovation and strong execution. It is a leading messaging provider in Brazil and offers services in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Paraguay.
