Welcome to Sinch!
The Sinch services are provided by Sinch AB, a company incorporated in Sweden under registration number 556969-5397, whose registered office is at Box 1182, 131 27 Nacka, Sweden. Sinch AB, hereinafter referred to as “Sinch” or “We”.
Any capitalized term not defined herein shall have the meaning as set forth in the Sinch Terms of Service (available here).
Please read this Privacy Policy, which applies to this Site and the use of the Services. This Privacy Policy, among other things, describes how Sinch collects information relating to you (and any third party End User, if applicable) and our practices for using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
The Privacy Policy apply to all visitors on and/or users of this Site. By accessing or using this Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, you should immediately stop using or visiting the Site.
Please note that this Privacy Policy is a part of the Terms of Service by reference. Furthermore, if you are a party to the Terms of Service additional provisions relating to personal information, privacy, confidentiality and data protection issues may apply.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We may modify, alter or update the Privacy Policy at any time, so we encourage you to review our Privacy Policy frequently. We will not provide individual notice to you of changes to our Privacy Policy, but when we make updates to our Privacy Policy, we will update the date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Site and/or the Services after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.

Collection of information

When you visit and navigate the Site, Sinch automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address and the pages you request. Certain information is collected through the use of cookies or similar (for more information see below). This information help provide additional functionality to the Site and help Sinch analyze use of the Site more accurately. We may also use cookies to help track the level of interest in different features of the Site and to compile data that can help us improve our Services.
When you use the Site or register an Account, Sinch may collect certain contact information from you (name, email address, phone number etc.). If you buy credits to top up your Account (a prerequisite for the use of certain Products provided by Sinch) you will be required to provide additional information that may include a credit card number or other banking or payment information.
When you use the Products (and other parts of the Services), Sinch may collect and maintain information that is created, provided or otherwise can be derived from you for such purposes. This information may consist of content and various data pertaining to or derived from a call made or a message sent (such as phone numbers involved, time and size of message etc.). Please note that the same will apply to any third party End User using a Product integrated in your Partner Application. You are required to inform any third party End User about the aforesaid and to collect the explicit approval from the End User prior to he/she/it starts using a Product. You are solely responsible for, in relation to any third party End-User, that you are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the protection of personal information and privacy as well as to confidentiality and data protection issues.
Personal information may be disclosed to and collected by Sinch in emails, text and other electronic messages between you and Sinch or when you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party sites and services, if those applications or advertising include links to this policy.
Please note that if you use a third party application or service that is integrated with Sinch, then the privacy policy of such third party will govern the use, storage and disclosure of your data in connection with such application or service. Sinch is never responsible for the policies and practices of such third party providers. Sinch will have no liability in connection with any act or omission of any such provider with respect to any personal information.

Use and disclosure of information

We only use your personal information or the information derived from a user of a Product or other parts of the Services internally (i) to present the Site and its content to you, (ii) to provide you with information relating to the Services we are offering our customers, (iii) to notify you about changes to our Site or any parts of the Services, (iv) to understand how you came to know our company and Services, (v) to be able to provide you the Services, (vi) to be able to develop and improve the Services, (vii) to fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it, (viii) to use it in any other way we may describe when you provide the information, and for any other purpose with your consent.

Sinch does not rent, sell or disclose personal information to anyone – except for the following limited purposes:
Agents, consultants and related third parties: Sinch may employ other companies and people to perform specific tasks in the Services we are offering. We may share personal information with such companies/persons solely as necessary for them to help us provide the Services.
Business Transfers: In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, personal information may be part of the transferred assets. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer or successor of Sinch may continue to use the personal information as set forth in this policy.
Protection of Sinch: We may release personal information when we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of Sinch, or (iii) to protect the property or safety of users of the Site or the Services or any third party.
Affiliates: Sinch may share personal information with entities that are controlling, are controlled by or under common control with Sinch for the purpose of assisting Sinch in providing the Site and/or the Services to you. In that event, any such affiliate will use the personal information solely as permitted under this Privacy Policy.

We want to keep your Personal Information accurate. If you would like to view, correct, complete or remove your personal information, please contact Sinch at hello@sinch.com.

Email Marketing

From time to time, we may send you emails with Sinch updates and outreach. If you would prefer not receive these emails, please click the unsubscribe link in the footer of the email. We use two different providers to do this, and unfortunately at this time we are unable to synchronize your unsubscribe requests.

Links to other Sites

We may include links to other websites on this Site. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the information practices or privacy policies of websites operated by others that may be linked to or from this Site. If you decide to access a third party’s website that may be linked to or from this Site, you should consult with that website’s privacy policy and terms of use.

Cookies

We also collect information about you and your use of this Site through the use of cookies. Cookies are small files that a Site can store on your computer’s hard drive for record-keeping or other administrative purposes. If you are concerned about the use of cookies, you can choose to enable a feature in your browser software that will erase cookies, block cookies or warn the user before cookies are stored or exchanged.

As you browse Sinch.com and other websites, online ad networks we work with may place anonymous cookies on your computer, and use similar technologies, in order to understand your interests based on your (anonymous) online activities, and thus to tailor more relevant ads to you. If you do not wish to receive such tailored advertising, you can visit this page to opt out of most companies that engage in such advertising. (This will not prevent you from seeing ads; the ads simply will not be delivered through these targeting methods.)

Data security

We also collect information about you and your use of this Site through the use of cookies. Cookies are small files that a Site can store on your computer’s hard drive for record-keeping or other administrative purposes. Cookies are used in the registration process to avoid duplicate registrations. The name of the cookie that is stored in your computer is sinch.register, under the site sinch.com, and it is set to expire in one (1) year. If you are concerned about the use of cookies, you can choose to enable a feature in your browser software that will erase cookies, block cookies or warn the user before cookies are stored or exchanged.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any information, personal or otherwise, to or on this Site. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information about yourself on this Site or on or through any of its features, including your name, address, email address or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at hello@sinch.com.

In order to use the Phone Verification Service and claim the credit bonus after verifying your phone number, you need to be at least 18 years old.
