So a few weeks back we won the ‘Company of the Year’ award at this year’s Swedish Mobile Awards. Looking back over the last 9 years it’s fantastic to see how much we have grown as a business and are fast becoming a leading global provider of cloud-based communication services. Being identified as a company that has innovation and growth at its core is a fantastic achievement for us. What’s more, previous winners include iZettle, King, Minecraft, Skype, Spotify and Truecaller – to be among these global brands is an honor.
As the judges summarized:
“CLX has in a very short period become one of the global market leaders in the cloud communications industry. Fast growth, global expansion and a strong M&A strategy in combination with innovative solutions in IoT have all led to a market cap of close to 6 Billion SEK.”
We’ve always had an ambitious roadmap for growth and innovation and the past 12 months has been no exception. We’ve made several key acquisitions including messaging giant Mblox, Voice cloud communications specialist, Sinch, and more recently Xura Secure Communications in Germany. These moves have allowed us to add to our product suite, build our Tier 1 Super Network and gain market share advantages across important markets.
We’ve also doubled down on innovation.
We’re lucky to have some of the most experienced cloud communications R&D and engineering teams which have pioneered some huge milestones for us. Recently we launched our IoT connectivity product that delivers wide-area, standards-based, IoT connections. Combined with our programmable SIM cards, the product can be provisioned over-the-air and delivers the best possible coverage at the best possible data price – critical requirements for businesses that are looking at ways to maximise the potential of the growing IoT sphere. A fundamental leap forward for the company in a market that is going to see huge growth over the coming years.
We were also one the first companies to join Google’s Early Access Program for RCS Messaging. A move that will see us and others in the market delivering rich messaging capabilities like images, dynamic buttons, maps etc. made available to enterprises within a message, for the first time. This promises to give our clients more freedom in branding, creating bespoke campaigns or adding value through support services, plus the end user will also benefit in getting a more streamlined and integrated communication with their favourite brands. It’s a very exciting time for messaging.
As a company we are all proud of this nod to our work in cloud communications, and we’ll use this great news to further inspire our future innovations and growth. Watch this space… we’re not planning to step off the gas anytime soon!
