We are proud to announce the launch of CSS9, the latest release of the Symsoft Charging System. Introducing dynamic policies, CSS9 provides the final piece of the puzzle to realise the synergies of a joint OCS/PCRF solution. It gives you additional tools to create new kinds of advanced services, and also delivers better support for next-generation voice services, tools for more efficient operations, and better service monitoring capabilities.

The most valuable addition is how you can now create services using Configurable Dynamic Rules. These rules allow you to create rules that set policies in the core network in real-time based on subscriber behaviour, creating a superior experience by meeting customer needs instantaneously. We have also updated the framework for delegated charging to offer more flexibility when configuring shared resources for families, communities and enterprises.

Here are some of the improvements that CSS9 brings you:

  • Better support for VoLTE services, including roaming support with TAP3.12 and improved support for Voice and SMS charging over Diameter
  • Sy interface to support integration with an external PCRF for policy counter updates
  • Core support for inter-system community services
  • Added probes in the PCRF for better service statistics
